Wheat flakes are made from the wheat kernel by heating and rolling into flakes. Wheat can be traced as far back as 10,000 years ago originating back to south east Turkey. Wheat flakes are high in fiber and iron. Wheat flakes can be used in hot cereal, added to other flakes, granola, muesli and baked goods.
