xSumac is native to the Middle East, and is grown as a bush that produces red berries, which are dried and ground into a coarse powder. Sumac is tangy lemony flavor used in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cooking. It is used in everything from dry rubs, marinades, dips, dressing and an ingredient in Za’taar.
