Cardamom is available in two types of pods (green whole and black whole) and is used as seeds or ground. Cardamom is found in masala chai, garam masala and in many sweet dishes like pastries or coffee cakes. Cardamom are pods containing a number of seeds that are black and can be used whole or ground.
