Caraway seeds

Caraway is native to Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. It has a sweet warm and peppery flavour used in European and Mediterranean cooking. Caraway gives a pleasant aroma to bread, cakes, biscuits and cheese. Caraway seeds are also popular on cheddar cheese giving cheese a savoury flavour. Ground caraway can be used to flavour carrots, potato and cabbage dishes.
