Sage leaves, rubbed

Sage is extremely fragrant and has a savoury, peppery taste that flavours meat and poultry dishes. Dried sage is pungent and cutting and used as an ingredient in poultry seasoning. Sage is also used in mashed potatoes or squash for a more earthy flavour. Ground sage is made by grinding the entire leaf into a fine powder. Ground sage is more intense then rubbed or whole sage.
