Basil rubbed

The flavour of basil has hints of cloves, allspice, mint and pepper. It is Indian in origin and comes in several varieties. Use basil in tomato sauces, cold or warm salads and pastas. Basil can be used along with oregano and thyme and can be used as a rub or a marinade.
